Press release: The future of mobility will be defined by electrification, digitalization, autonomous driving and new innovative concepts – Online Materials 4 Sustainable Mobility Conference on March 23

On March 23, the Online Materials 4 Sustainable Mobility Conference will focus the future of mobility and its impact on sustainable material developments. There will be live presentations of speakers from relevant companies supporting the introduction of new mobility concepts, like SABIC, Brightlands Materials Center, Fibrant, Polyscope Polymers, ARN, DSM, Arlanxeo, FAST Automotive Group, Mitsubishi Chemical Europe and VIRO Engineering.

In the first part of the conference, Paul Habets, Director Marketing and Sales at Fibrant, will talk about Polyamide production and precursor choices driving sustainability performance. “How can we thrive whilst reducing our integral footprint? Collaboration across value chains, open minded and an integral view are key, but most and for all putting thoughts in action! Finding new creative solutions which structurally improve our footprint without compromising on quality and performance is what keeps me going every day” says Paul.

Later on, Niels van der Aar, Strategy Projects Manager Focus area Sustainability at ARLANXEO will tackle innovation required by climate change. His presentation will highlight specific rubber developments for sustainable mobility. The presentation will also describe several of the developments ARLANXEO is working on to support the automotive industry entering this new era.

Furthermore, Marc Huisman, Program Manager Lightweight Automotive, Brightlands Materials Center, will speak about a unique material processing concept of thermo-mechanical recycling that uses post-industrial or post-consumer continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic waste material and turns into an engineering material that can be used in compression molding or injection molding of technically demanding applications such as required in the automotive industry.
