On July 09 and 10, 2019, University of Perugia will host a two-day event focused on the latest 3D Printing innovations in the medical field. The event will include a conference with dedicated sessions to 3D pharmaceutical printing, 3D printing applications in surgery and dentistry, 3D medtech printing, 3D bioprinting and a two-day exhibition.

On July 9, the program includes dedicated sessions on 3D Bioprinting, 3D Dental Printing, Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality and Legal. Attendees will find out the current status of the major changes in biotechnology and modern medicine, with a focus on 3D bioprinting, 3D printed dental implants, biomaterials & will catch a glimpse into the legal challenges posed by the introduction of this disruptive technology.

Speakers from Océ, Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital, CD3D Medical, University of Padova, DWS, University of Perugia, Sapienza University of Rome, UZ Leuven, Gattai, Minoli, Agostinelli & Partners, ME3D will be there to talk about the topics of interest.

On July 10, the focus during the 3D Medical Printing Conference will shift towards 3D medtech printing (3D printed models for general surgery, 3D computed tomography models in Thoracic Surgery, in-house surgical 3d printing hubs in hospital) with dedicated sessions to Surgery and Simulations. The day will also tackle 3D pharma printing (Inkjet-printed “Mini-Pills”).

On this day, speakers from Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma, 3D Medlab, Medisch Spectrum Twente, simufact engineering, 3D.4.OP, University of Perugia, University of Siena, University of Colorado Denver, Apium Additive Technologie and ISIA Roma Design will be present. Among the titles of presentations we mention: 3D Printing in Surgery and Voxel Printing | 3D printing in Medicine. A new competence of Radiology? | MITRALFIT – Canin Transapical MVR System | Maxillar reconstruction, design , simulation and printing of porouse titanium implant.

At the expo 3DIFIC, DWS, Formlabs, Simufact Engineering, SISMA and 3D Medlab will be present to showcase their latest products.
